One Parent Account, Several Learners: Keeping Siblings Organised

Homeschooling more than one child is a logistics problem as much as an educational one. A single parent account with separate profiles keeps the chaos in its lane.

Why profiles beat shared logins

When siblings share one login, progress becomes a blur. You cannot tell who has mastered fractions and who was guessing. Separate learner profiles under your parent account keep results honest and personal.

Each child can work at their grade without waiting for the other to finish, and you still see the family in one place.

Stagger live sessions on purpose

Two children in the same session can be wonderful — or noisy. Many families run a younger learner first, then an older one, with a snack in between. Others sit them together on related topics and let them explain answers to each other afterwards.

The parent remains the account owner. Billing, settings, and oversight stay with you.

Praise the person, not the ranking

Friendly comparison is natural. Public humiliation is not. Talk about effort, accuracy, and improvement on their own graph — not about beating a sibling.

Try this week

  • Give every child their own profile from day one.
  • Stagger sessions if attention in the room collapses.
  • Review each child’s progress separately once a week.
  • Let older learners help younger ones after the session, not during it.

Put it into a live hour

Reading about homeschooling helps. A session on your child’s actual subjects helps more.
